My First 2 Years at Storage King

I have just recently had my 2nd Anniversary as
Manager of Storage King North Geelong. I must say I had no idea what a
stressful process moving can be. Having
not done a lot of moving myself in the last 20 years, I now have a birds eye
view of what our customers are going through.
Coordinating everything when moving is the hardest thing.
But to have someone who is an expert from the right size boxes to use, to making
the most of the storage space is invaluable.
Our customers come from all walks of life. Today I had a
lovely lady store with me, who is a fire performer. We meet all kinds of people,
some stay with us for years while they are working overseas. I had a lovely
gentleman come in just last week to pay his 2nd years rent, as he is
living and working in China and loving it. It was great to hear his stories of
how happy the Chinese people are.
Then we also see the sadder side of life when a loved one
has passed away and their belongings need to be stored. We always have that box
of tissues close by and a sympathetic ear. But the one thing they have in common is the stress they are
going through. It brings me great
pleasure to listen to their stories and to help take the stress out of their
day.
It’s so nice to hear a nice word in return from our
customers thanking us for our understanding and compassion.
