Regional Ballarat: A Growth Corridor

Storage in Ballarat has changed over the last few years due to the significant growth in the area. The city has now become a place of real growth, located just far enough away from metropolitan Melbourne to not be affected by the daily hustle and bustle, but also close enough to commute easily enough for work – all the while still retaining a bit of a “country feel” about it.

Along with a push for people from Melbourne to build and buy into more regional locations, we’ve seen existing suburbs like Alfredton and Delacombe expand significantly, as well as other areas like Miners Rest and Mitchell Park also seeing growth in new houses.  A brand new suburb named Lucas, is also now undergoing development and is in the early stages of land release.

With these new developments, demand for housing in Ballarat has increased, and along with it a significant demand on storage. More and more people are now choosing to put their goods into storage while building or shifting house than previously ever did, as the housing and rental markets are currently quite in demand. The option for storage as a solution for the ordinary person has become more mainstream in the region as a result, and it’s no longer just something that people in the bigger cities and businesses utilise. How many people do you know that use it?
